Most teams look at their PI profiles once and never talk about them again. The fix isn’t another report. It’s getting people to use the data together, out loud, in a way that’s actually fun.
Here are 14 of the 18 PI-based activities in our toolkit, grouped by how you’d use them.
Icebreakers and energizers
Use these to open a meeting or workshop, or to break up a long session.
- Random Acts of PI: a company-wide energizer where people celebrate each other’s behavioral strengths. Run it in a day or over several weeks.
- Profile Mania: participants find the PI “neighborhoods” they share and connect through common traits. About 30–40 minutes.
- 2 Truths and a Lie: shows that you can’t always guess a profile from outward behavior. About a minute per person plus a short debrief.
- “PI”NGO: PI bingo that teaches the primary factors while people match traits to coworkers. 15–20 minutes.
- All in a Row: teams line up by factor intensity to see where they align and where they differ. About 25 minutes.

Team building experiences
- Favorite Things: uses each person’s highest factor in a lighthearted exercise about cars, animals, songs and mottos. About 30 minutes.
- Meaningful Meetings: explores how behavioral drives shape meeting preferences, with tips for clearer meetings. 15–30 minutes.
- Would You Rather: a movement-based game about traits and factor combinations. 20–30 minutes.
- Risk / Reward: built on the A:D combination to show how team members approach risk. Works indoors or out.
- What I Like About You: teammates recognize each other’s strengths using PI data. About two minutes per person.
- Feel the Love: people write down the strengths they see in each other, linked to PI insights.

How to make the activity last longer than the session
- Tie it to real work. End with “what will we do differently in our next meeting?”
- Repeat the language. Use factor names in team meetings for the next month.
- Follow up with Obi. Have managers use Obi before their next one-to-ones.
- Schedule the next one. One activity a quarter keeps PI alive.
